This model reflects the cost of the fee depending on the type of card used by the buyer. More about the fee components in this method is explained below.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We use the Interchange++ scheme, which consists of:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Interchange fees \u2013 from 0.2%<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Card scheme fees (Visa, Mastercard) \u2013 from 0.15%<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Transaction and processing fees \u2013 defined in your agreement. Unless stated otherwise, the standard rate is 1.5% + euro 0.1.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Explanation of the Interchange++ Fee Structure for Card Payments<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Interchange++ system is a way of charging card payment fees consisting of three components:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>1. Interchange Fee (MIF \u2013 Multilateral Interchange Fee)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This fee is charged between the bank that issued the card and the merchant&#8217;s bank. Its rate is determined by the relevant card company and cannot be influenced. For consumer cards issued within the EU, the fees are capped according to EU regulations:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Debit cards: maximum 0.2% of the transaction amount<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Credit cards: maximum 0.3% of the transaction amount<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For unregulated cards (e.g., corporate cards or cards issued outside the EU), the fee may be higher.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The exact rate is published on the websites of Visa and Mastercard.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> To determine the contractual fee rate, the current interchange rate from the card schemes\u2019 pricing schedules is used. This rate may change during the term of the agreement, in which case the total contractual fee rate will automatically adjust accordingly.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>2. Card Scheme Fees (so-called &#8220;scheme fees&#8221;)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">These are a set of fees charged by companies like Visa or Mastercard for processing payments. Transaction Processing Fee (processing fee +)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This fee covers the costs of technological infrastructure, security measures, transaction authorization, and settlement. It also includes additional services provided as part of the merchant platform.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> This includes a fixed fee of euro 0.1 per transaction and a percentage-based fee of 1.3%.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The total card transaction fee is the sum of these three components.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Each transaction is therefore charged transparently based on card type, issuing country, and the commercial tariff. Thanks to the Interchange++ model, you can be sure that the costs are passed through 1:1 without markup, and you can track a detailed breakdown of each fee in the transaction statement.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Examples of final rates for different card types and tariffs are available upon request or in your administration dashboard.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The amount of the fees may change over time depending on the issuer&#8217;s rates and the current tariff.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Other Fees<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Gateway Operation \u2013 Free of charge<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Payout of Funds \u2013 euro 0.33<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> A fee is charged for each transfer of accumulated card payment funds (can be set to daily, weekly, or monthly payout frequency).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Refund \u2013 euro 0.1<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> A fee charged for each refund made to a customer\u2019s card, initiated by you as the merchant.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> This fee does not apply if the refund is made within 24 hours of the original transaction.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For some payment methods, a refund fee may be charged as stated in the Adyen payment method pricing (available at<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.adyen.com\/pricing\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">www.adyen.com\/pricing<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">).<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Fees and costs related to the original transaction (including interchange fees) will not be refunded, either partially or in full, in the case of a refund or chargeback.<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Chargeback \u2013 euro 18.18<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> A fee charged for each chargeback initiated by the cardholder via their issuing bank if they dispute the transaction.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Chargebacks can be contested. In the case of an unsuccessful dispute, a repeated chargeback may occur and an additional fee may be applied.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cross-border Payout \u2013 euro 10.76<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> This fee applies when funds are paid out in a currency other than the domestic currency or EUR.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> For example, if a Czech merchant requests payout in USD or PLN to a Czech bank account, this fee applies.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Other Payment Methods<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> For the following payment method(s), the agreed prices are as follows:<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<table style=\"border-collapse: collapse; width: 100%; text-align: left;\" border=\"1\" cellspacing=\"0\" cellpadding=\"8\">\n<tbody>\n<tr style=\"background-color: #f2f2f2;\">\n<td><strong>Payment Method<\/strong><\/td>\n<td><strong>Fee<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">American Express (Processor: Amex US OptBlue)<\/span><\/td>\n<td><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">3.30% + USD 0.10<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">American Express<\/span><\/td>\n<td><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">3.45%<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The current rates for other payment methods are available in the Adyen pricing table (available at<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.adyen.com\/pricing\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">www.adyen.com\/pricing<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">).<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Authentication Service<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If the merchant uses Adyen&#8217;s authentication service (as described in the service description), which includes the Adyen 3DS 2 solution, a fee of EUR 0.05 per authentication request initiated by the merchant will apply (Interchange++ model).<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> In addition to this fee, the merchant will also be charged any applicable card scheme fees (Scheme Fees).<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Currency Conversion<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">By default \u2014 and where supported by the relevant payment processors (Acquirers) and card scheme owners \u2014 Adyen will process and settle transactions in the same currency in which the transaction was initiated, provided the merchant has a bank account in that currency for settlement purposes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If the transaction currency differs from the settlement currency, Adyen will apply a currency conversion along with an administrative Forex Management spread.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><strong>Visa\/Mastercard Scheme Rates<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For Visa and Mastercard transactions, the official exchange rate of the respective card scheme at the time of settlement (Capture) will be used for conversion.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The Forex Management spread for Visa and Mastercard transactions is 0.30%.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><strong>OANDA Rates \u2013 for Other Payment Methods<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For other payment methods, Adyen uses the daily mid-market rate from OANDA (published at<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.oanda.com\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">www.oanda.com<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">) that applies either when Adyen receives funds from the scheme provider or acquirer, or when funds are settled with the merchant \u2014 whichever comes first.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The Forex Management spread is 1.80%.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If the transaction currency is one of the following:<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> AUD, CAD, CHF, DKK, EUR, GBP, HKD, JPY, NOK, NZD, PLN, SEK, SGD, USD, ZAR,<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> the Forex Management spread is reduced to 0.90%.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pricing effective from 01\/07\/2025<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>To offer the best prices while maintaining maximum transparency, we provide our clients (in accordance with the Regulation of the European Parliament and Council on interbank fees) with a dynamic transaction fee for card payments, based on the so-called Interchange++ model.
